1. Islamic Center of North Shore Needs Some Funds To Open Its Doors
The Islamic Center of North Shore located on 38 Lynnfield St., Lynn, MA 01904 was able to purchase a building in Oct 2012 for the amount of $290,000 that it raised through its fundraising activities. As of 1st December 2012, the masjid further collected 183,000 in cash and 125,000 in Qurd-e-hassana, for a total amount of 308,000. The masjid needs to start repaying some of the loans beginning January 2013. The masjid is in the process of renovation/construction of the building to better suit the needs of the community. Once the project has been completed, the masjid will be able to accommodate 800 people. This will be a three phase project. Once 1st phase is completed, 250 people will be able to pray at once. Total cost for phase one is 140,000 and the masjid has 18,000 in hand. They immediately need 122,000 to complete phase one and open the door to Muslim community. 2. Islamic Society of Boston Looking For Secretary
The Islamic Society of Boston in Cambridge, MA is looking for a part time administrative assistant. This position provides administrative and clerical office support as well as serving as a liaison for services to the Community. Requirements: Secretarial or office experience is a must; Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, individually or in group; Bookkeeping skills and ability to operate a computer and related software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); Accounting and Quickbooks is a plus. “One Day Aqeedah Course”
A unique course intended to cover all the beliefs of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal Jama’ah (mainstream of Islam). Presented by Mufti Ikram ul Haq. He has completed his studies of Qur’an, Hadith, Aqeedah, Fiqh and other branches of Islamic sciences such as Nahw, Sarf, Balaghah, Mantiq, Al-Adabul Arabi etc… under the tutelage of some of this era’s outstanding scholars. He spent more than 12 years while completely dedicated in receiving the knowledge of Islam. Included in the course is a complimentary copy of Aqeedah book for the attendees. Every first Saturday of the month the Muslim Coalition of Connecticut organizes lunch at Mercy Shelter in Hartford, CT. We gather at 11:30am to unload and heat the food and we serve lunch at 12 noon sharp. Not many realize the tremendous opportunity and responsibility we have in this city. Hartford is one of the poorest cities in the nation! Please join us by volunteering to cook or serve. We will also be collecting socks (Men size Large) and gloves. In this cold winter season, these items are particularly needed. If you would like to join the serve, please contact us.

“Quran for Kids and Young Adults”
The best way to learn the Qu’ran is from a teacher who knows it properly who can assist you. Two reading levels are being offered: Beginner and Intermediate levels led by Sheikh Mohammed Ajami and well known local qualified and experienced sister (Fawzia) to teach the female students. . Each level is only once a week. Beginners must be at least 5 years old and identify letters of the alphabet. Intermediate is for all ages (male/female) but must be able to read Arabic
