Our guest speaker is Ustad Ubaydullah Evans, the Imam scholar at Taleef Collective. He converted to Islam while in high school, and has studies in Institute of Islamic Education (IIE) and Al Azhar University in Egypt.

Imam Taymullah Abdu-Rahman served as a Chaplain at the Massachusetts Department of Corrections. He was also the Assistant Imam at Masjid Alhamdillullah, Boston. He is well known in the Boston area and is actively involved in community service and youth engagement.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is the founder of the Cordoba Initiative, a multi-naitonal, multi-faith organization dedicated to improving Muslim-West relations. He has engaged in outreach to moderates of all faith traditions, engaging in interfaith dialogue. Imam Rauf will be available to sign his new books, “moving the Mountain”. Come hike with Faraz Khan, Saffet Catavic and the Green Muslims of New Jersey. This is a monthly hiking program organized by the Islamic Society of Central Jersey. Green Muslims of NJ, ISCJ and NBIC want to promote a Muslim lifestyle that reflects respect and care for our environment and at the same time GET FIT!
With this hike (mashi), we are literally applying the ayat from the Quran – wa ‘ibadur Rahmani iladhina yamshuna ala ardi hona. The servants of the Merciful walk upon the Earth lightly – with care and humility. Dress appropriately for weather and walking!
