According to local moonsighting methodology, the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1435 started on Friday, January 3rd, 2014. It is reported that Prophet Muhammad (saw) was born in this month of Rabiul Awwal.

It is a time for us all to come together during this long, cold winter this year, to get empowered and re-ignited, and to hear from sources on the ground on what is going on inside Syria in terms of civil activism and coordination of efforts. We are honored to have Kafranbel’s creative mind Raed Fares with us as well as female blogger and human rights spokesperson Razzan Ghazzawi. We’ll meet field activist Iyad Sawaf and hear from Abdullah Shahin. We will enjoy a lovely dinner and end the evening with an intriguing Q&A session with our activists and aid representatives and really hope you’ll come out. The evening is paying for itself with your ticket money so rest assured that donations all go towards their beneficiaries.
